🚨 Exciting news for Sussex, the government is doubling funding for neighbourhood policing to £200m. That's a 6.7% cash increase for Sussex Police, the highest in the whole of the South East. More police to tackle ASB in our community.

Today was important in the fight for justice for LGBT+ veterans. The Labour gov pledged an extra £25m for compensation, which will go live tomorrow. I urge all LGBT+ veterans in our community to take up this scheme. Huge thanks to @fightingwpride for their tireless campaigning

Recently there’s been a spike in retail crime and attacks on shop workers, including in Brighton Kemptown & Peacehaven. We need to do far more to tackle this, including more police on the street and rolling out offender to rehab schemes. Glad to be able to raise this today.
