Putting a time line on offers will add pressure to the recruit and lead to discouragement and cause you to not enjoy the teams that do want you.

The old-school way was recruits would have to wait for coaches to come by their HS school to find them. Not any more recruits be visual on your social media make sure your talents are being promoted by you and college coaches will have no choice but to find you.

As football season gets closer, keep commitment & leadership in mind. •Commitment might be playing a different position bc it’s best for the team. •Leadership might be holding your best friend accountable. Doing what’s best for the team will always pay off in the end.

Having interest from colleges is where it all starts. If you got interest, you got action. Be patient. Getting an offer is the next phase.

It’s up to the RECRUIT to get the RECRUIT, not the parents, hs coach or trainer. The RECRUIT has to make the plays and put the time in.

It’s great to see standardized testing continues to be excluded. Testing has blocked a lot of potential. Some kids aren’t good test takers, but they can do the course work required and keep their GPA up for eligibility, I think this will help save a lot of kid’s careers.

Your behavior on social media cannot always be fixed with an apology. Think before you post and then think again. If you feel unsure about the post, DON’T POST.

To some extent, recruiting becomes a numbers game. Colleges have a certain amount of scholarships allotted per position. If you want the numbers to fall in your favor, becoming eligible early will better your chances of getting offered to play college football.

In most athlete's cases, recruiting is making them move slowly which leads them down the path of moving correctly. Enjoy the slow correct path it's the right way.

The recruiting process should be all about the recruit. This is the one time in your life you should make the decision all about your next level expectations. Decide what you want both academically/athletically and see which school will best fit you.
