Extremely saddened by the passing of the dearest Joan Guinovart. Joan was a prominent biochemist and pioneer/frontier researcher in glycogen metabolism and extra-ordinal leader/mentor. We will continue our collaboration in glycogen biology and velop the field further. RIP Joan.

Congratulations to research assistant, Maria Montoya on receiving a PhD scholarship from @DDEA_Denmark !! 🥳🥂 Maria starts her PhD in our group @Metabolcenter in the new year, where she will be investigating the role of salt inducible kinases (SIKs) in hepatic gluconeogenesis.
