If your civil disobedience isn't grounded in love & humility for the good of the Gospel and for justice for the oppressed and maligned, it's not Christian civil disobedience, merely a tantrum thrown by those intent on keeping their enshrined & unjust social privilege at all cost.

It would seem to me that those who are most fervently pro-life might want to ask themselves how many abortions their hero Donald Trump has paid for over the course of his adult life.

Why is it that the brave and proudly hirsute white supremacist, kinist, and masculinity-obsessed among us so often channel their thunderous denunciation of race-mixing & egalitarianism from anonymous burner accounts on X?

CN, you know that Donald Trump's posting a doctored video purporting to show Secret Service agents arresting Barack Obama for treason is a sin, bearing false witness against a man not proved to be guilty of anything. True disciples of Jesus would condemn it. What will you do?

Examples from my life re: Civil Disobedience: SINFUL: Throwing paint on nude dance halls & porn shops when I was a university student. BLESSED: Holding a "This Is An Abomination" sign at a Covid-era "Hymn Sing" that violated the municipal & Biblical law of loving thy neighbor.

3/3 It's merely unloving anti-government petulance when the powerful engage in civil disobedience because they believe their rights are denied, even when the exercise of those perceived rights would, as w/ Covid restrictions, harm others, especially their aged and sick neighbors.

1/3 There is in the church a holy and honorable tradition of Christian civil disobedience, first modeled by Peter and the other disciples when they persisted in preaching the Gospel after being enjoined by the Romans not to. The Civil Rights era in the 1960s was another example.

1/2 There is no such thing as a "helpmeet." In KJV English, "meet" means "appropriate"/"corresponding to." God created Eve as *ezer,* a helper with a kind of strength described in Scripture as military-like. God created Eve as an appropriate or corresponding, strengthening HELP.

It's not a sign of mature Christian faith or steadfast discipleship to be more devoted to ushering in a "Christian Nation" than to the Lord Jesus Himself or to His Word. There's nothing Christian at all about a fascist nationalism that blithely co-opts His name. It's simply evil.

I've been meaning to ask you CNs ... Does Jesus have much at all to do with your plans? Does the Holy Spirit figure in at some place? Are you working for the greater glory of God, or for the glory of Christianity? It's not the same thing, and in your heart you surely must know.

America's public schools are the best temporal and practical hope for remediating centuries of inequality, oppression, poverty, and injustice. But don't worry. I'm not laboring under the delusion that you CNs give a damn about remediating those things.

ICE in its current iteration can no more be redeemed than the Gestapo of the Nazis. Abolish the legal thuggery and abductions for which ICE has become known and develop a sensible immigration policy that is humane & Constitutional. Its current activities are shamefully illegal.

Public Schools are the public illustration of Love Thy Neighbor and Caring For The Least Of These, and so it makes perfect sense that some of you for whom such Biblical commands are nevertheless seen as squishy liberal policies would applaud their piece-by-piece destruction.
