If this pissed them off, wait till they hear about the Bracero Program. The US invited in 2m+ (legal) Mexican workers to fix labor shortages. Employers also secretly hired undocumented ones as well to meet demand! The American economy has always depended on Mexican labor 🇲🇽
I didn’t think a literal fact would offend so many people. California was part of Mexico until 1848. When the U.S. took it, Mexican families were already living here. Let’s not pretend they were never here. That IS a fact, not a debate.
