Unpopular opinion but a Biblical one: When a pastor becomes aware that a husband is abusing his wife, rather than telling the wife to submit to her abusive husband, the pastor should put the husband under church discipline for breaking his vow to "love, honor and cherish his…
Matthew 18 wasn’t meant to keep abusers from being exposed. This could seem like an inconsequential or obvious point but, can I say, I have inside info that numerous charismatic leaders are abusing Matthew 18 to IGNORE the testimonies of multiple witnesses about abusive leaders
“You may forget that you are at every moment totally dependent on God.” - C.S. Lewis
MacArthur defends Sola Scriptura against Catholics: "Scripture claims to be the only authority. You have that wonderful statement in Jude that this is the faith once for all delivered to the saints. One of the severest errors in Catholicism is that the canon keeps going & going"
Two things we have to understand here given Bethel’s massive, worldwide influence. 1: Kris is teaching against what Scripture says. 2: This isn’t just theory, it is standard practice for the culture of cover-up and has been happening in this circle of churches for years.
@MikeWingerii #KrisVallotton said this a year ago in the same sermon that he said “I love #MikeBickle” at the 19:50 mark I cover what he said. He also said that #Peter was #excommunicated from the church between Christs crucifixion & resurrection. youtu.be/EcGYhtjU7a0?si…
The Bible is the authority, not “church fathers.”
Scottie gets it.
This was a pretty great follow up from Scottie on his presser early in the week.
“The gospel delivers a crushing blow to man … Christ died for the ungodly … not the righteous. And that is the glory of the gospel.” -Jeff Durbin
Men: your home is your first mission field. Your wife, your kids, your habits - they all preach a message. What are you saying?
Cover-up culture doesn’t respond to injustice when it is perpetrated by a leader. It only responds to exposure. Even then, its response is usually damage control, not justice.
1. Not to fail to comprehend the text because of taking shortcuts. 2. Not to fail to verify the truthfulness of things 3. Not to turn into a skin deep preacher or one who only pretends to 4. Not to neglect seeking the Lord in “laboring over the word and doctrine” 5. Not to…
@charliekirk11 I am very interested in speaking with you about what you could possibly mean regarding "veneration of Mary." I have written a book on the topic, and debated numerous of the doctrines proposed by Rome over the course of over thirty years. And I live in Phoenix.…
The reason why mega churches don't practice church discipline is that if they did, they'd have to start by disciplining their vision-casting leader (the dude who they erroneously call their pastor).
I used to find John MacArthur unbearable. He embodied everything I didn’t want to be. I was young church planter. MacArthur wasn’t “cool.” He wore suits and didn’t seem nice. But that all changed in 2020. The model of ministry I had adopted proved both unable and unwilling to…
I’m a fan of this guy. Great stuff.
Scottie Scheffler just gave one of the best (and deepest) press conference answers ever heard.
This clip from John MacArthur remains one of the best arguments I have ever heard for understanding election and predestination. x.com/TerriGreenUSA/…

Refusing to forgive when someone repents is sin.
The last few years have demonstrated that many were Christians either out of ignorance, not knowing the actual teachings of the faith, or convenience, as it helped their careers and positions, rather than out of true devotion to Christ. This is the fruit of easy believism.
What’s worse? 1. Pat Robertson doing this with donations. 2. Me talking about it. “Airplanes sent to Zaire by the evangelist Pat Robertson's tax-exempt humanitarian organization were used almost exclusively for his diamond mining business, say two pilots who flew them. Three…
