Hartlepool still pushing ahead with trying to make signings quickly. Trials may have changed view on some players and pushed some deals back. DJ likely to be involved tomorrow at Whitby.

I understand that HUFC have spoken to Richie Smallwood. A deal is being worked on and could happen in the next few weeks. It’s not close yet, but the seeds have been planted.

Have deleted my post about this, at the heart of this issue is a young man who is going to need time and patience. I crossed the line with the previous criticism of that post. I’ll apologise for that. JM.
