Being conservative or progressive on every single issue is intellectually lazy & unfaithful. Critique and push back on these flawed ideologies. Make conservatism sympathize & pursue racial justice. Make progressivism acknowledge absolute truth & the sanctity of life. #AND2020
My latest for @nytopinion on the Catholic, evangelical, and black church responses to Trump’s bill nytimes.com/2025/07/11/opi…
This is about holding the rich & powerful accountable. They were not held accountable for the financial crash. They were not held accountable when they offshored jobs out of greed. We need to draw a line in the sand. Abusers of young girls must face justice.
Are there people who are so powerful and politically connected that they can operate outside the law? Making America Great Again requires transparency and justice. Congress recessed to avoid the Epstein issue, but when we return, I’ll be forcing a vote.
"I'm sorry Mr. President, but we cannot possibly prosecute former President Obama because of a Supreme Court case called United States vs Donald Trump. But if we threaten it enough, perhaps we can get everyone to stop talking about Jeffrey Epstein," said the DOJ official.
Rahm Emanuel says men and women are biologically different and a man can’t become a woman. He also says men should not be playing women’s sport or be in women’s prison. Lastly, Rahm implies taking these common sense positions will get him in trouble with the left.
Are we tired of partisans distracting attention away from important issues by cooking up extreme allegations against the other side that waste time and resources? Meanwhile healthcare, immigration, housing, and education (literacy) are in crisis.
This is an important concept. A lot of Christian’s leaders seem to be arrested by “Identity Protective Cognition”. We seem more concerned about upholding our racial group’s narrative and progressive and conservative myths than standing for what’s true and good.
Ah yes, this is called “Identity Protective Cognition” It’s is a psychological tendency where individuals resist accepting facts or arguments that threaten their group identity, social standing, or sense of belonging. The motivation isn’t truth-seeking—it’s preserving harmony…

@Ameen_HGA I remember awhile back on @SouthsideRabbi you amd @KB_HGA were speaking about how people will side against their morality because they don't want to be alienated from the group or community they're a part of rather. Is there a word for that?
JUST IN - Pope Leo XIV calls for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza after the Israeli military hit a catholic church.
The thing about this is it’s also just a classic pattern: Build a fan base by appealing to shared values. Get famous and rich on basis of that appeal. Betray shared values for broader demographics. “Wow, so much judgment in that world.”
Talk, ask qustns, listen.. maybe even learn. Too much to ask of modern American Christian culture. Judge 1st, understand later/never It’s a sad sunday when “non believers” have never been confronted with hate or vitriol until they are introduced to a modern American Christian💔
Why are the Epstein files still hidden? Who are the rich & powerful being protected? On Tuesday, I'm introducing an amendment to force a vote demanding the FULL Epstein files be released to the public. The Speaker must call a vote & put every Congress member on record.
Whose ready for College Football? The season can’t get here fast enough!!
“Teach those with whom you come into contact that they cannot lead strong, moral lives unless they keep away from the gambling table.” -Booker T. Washington Online sports betting is a major problem.
Cancel culture made people cowards. You know what’s real, you know what’s fake but you stay quiet. You’d rather protect your image than protect the truth. That’s how the truth dies, quietly.
This is a bad, bad idea for the the country and an even worse idea for the credibility and authority of the local church.
NEW TONIGHT: @IRS says that churches can now endorse candidates from the pulpit, carving out an exemption to a decades-old ban on politicking by tax-exempt nonprofits. nytimes.com/2025/07/07/us/…
