Canes #RaiseUp
Blake will most likely crack the lineup next year. He’s only a year younger than Jarvis and already proved a lot in 2 years of college. Having him sit in the AHL makes little sense and his ELC will allow them to have more freedom in signing guys.
You know it’s a great Rod clip when he has to apologize because he may not have answered the question. He’s so locked into what he has to say he just forgets the question
NEW EPISODE: Caught up with Rod Brind’Amour this week and talked how success on and off the ice starts with the grind! Listen now: bit.ly/4140DOm
The canes could bridge him and give him the opportunity he is looking for… I understand the concern over size but, the canes have just 4 forwards under 6’0. They got Miller, Reilly and Nikishin all joining the back end with size. Is “size” really a reason not to fix the 2C?
Michael Russo: Re Marco Rossi extension: I think he's a little worried about signing some sort of bridge deal...and then getting buried and not being able to prove himself fully...and hit that homerun contract next time - DFO (7/21)
I loved Don as GM but, this was one of the biggest mistakes in franchise history. The fact that he blew it with both Tkachuk and Eichel who both went on to win cups soon after says a lot. It’s why I’m so excited for Tulsky at the helm. He’s getting things done.
The Hurricanes actually came down to the wire to acquire Matthew Tkachuk before he was ultimately dealt to the Panthers 👀 The NHL could look very different right now 😳 (w/ @frank_seravalli)
Pretty funny that it’s been so slow that Frank is racking his brain here to come up with teams. Also right back to status quo that Carolina does not get mentioned.
Which team has had the best offseason? The Panthers remain on top 🔥 (w/ @frank_seravalli)
All RFAs are now taken care of
Adding to the squad 🖊️ The #Canes have signed forward Ryan Suzuki and agreed to terms with defenseman Ronan Seeley on one-year, two-way contracts. Details » n.carhur.com/4kTF22l
Really happy to see Suzuki signed. Still think there’s a chance he can be the 4C at some point.

Call me a homer but, Aho at the Olympics will have more of an impact on Finlands performance than either of the other 2 guys. Guys compete level is off the charts and he’s going to have a lot to prove against so many of his friends at the Olympics this year.
Start, bench, cut: Finland edition 🇫🇮 How would you order these 3 Fins? 🤔
Have to start wondering for the longer tenured guys, how many records they are on pace for as the team continues to make playoffs. 7 years in a row, quite a few guys are racking up playoff stats.
Despite a feature in #NHLYoungStarsWeek, 23-year-old Seth Jarvis has made a habit of rising to the occasion for the @Canes in the #StanleyCup Playoffs. #NHLStats
Hope this legend is having a wonderful National Ice Cream Day 🤣🍦
Laying the ground work early to downplay the canes achievements next season. Respect to rupp for continuing the bit.
Safe to say @Rupper17 is not too confident in the Metropolitan Division this year. 😬
I won the lottery to be a canes stick kid for a game in the early 2000’s It included my first jersey, glass seats, sat on the bench for warmups, got Kevin Weekes goalie stick and was a canes fan ever since.
Share a piece of Canes lore about yourself
Holding ownership accountable would be a good start. That’s usually the core of most of the problems teams face.
Chris Johnston: The Sabres yearly struggles are "a concern at the league level", "it's not good for the league as a whole" - Off The Post (Jul 13)
Also want to shout out Jorge Alves. Happy to see him get a promotion and well deserved. Extremely nice guy and one of the pillars of the org up there with Rod/Gleason.
Congratulations are in order 👏 We're excited to announce several additions and promotions to the #Canes staff ahead of the 2025-26 season. nhl.com/hurricanes/new…
Bochner saw Nikishin come to America and said It’s time for me to leave as well. Really excited to have him here in America to help with development of all the Russians.

Not much of a “what if” If the front office didn’t botch the Guentzel negotiations they probably still land Ehlers in the off season and we avoid Mikko all together.
These three guys had almost 100 combined goals last season. Imagine if the Hurricanes managed to have them all at once. 🤯
I’m refusing to get delusional over the idea he’s actually available but, if any of the reports are true… This is the guy the canes should be doing every last thing they can to acquire.
Frank Seravalli: Re Mason McTavish: He's one name to watch for me I think moving forward; I think it's been a tough go for McTavish; a real solid player that has been beaten down by a lot of losses in Anaheim - Bleacher Report (Jul 15)
