I'm a big fan of Comic Books. Self-Proclaimed Hourman Expert ⌛️ Banner draw by: @Ori_KXX "In the dark times, should the stars also go out?"
Why I love Hourman, and why I consider him to be a favorite of mine 🧵

It's insane how much DC doesn't respect Al and his legacy compared to the rest of the JSA founders.
Bro next month is about to break my wallet. Both of these comes out two days before my Birthday

Okay but why does this game look awesome as hell. I need this game in my life
You wouldn't get it.
The rise of idiot-interviewers like Fridman, Rogan, Von, and the Nelk Boys is very harmful to journalism. They somehow manage to be worse than mainstream media. They are walking PSAs for the importance of reading books.
The NELK Boys — a Canadian frat-bro YouTube crew turned Trump-adjacent merch empire — just sat down with Israeli PM Netanyahu. Their intro —> “I see so much about what’s going on Israel and Iran and Palestine. And to be honest, I just really don’t know what’s going on there. So…
How I see it: - Dr. Occult as the first Magic Hero (and first superhero overall) - Crimson Avenger as the first Vigilante/Street Hero (usually seen as the "first" by many heroes) -Green Lantern as the first SUPERhero (and the inspiration for a lot of Golden Age heroes)
Putting aside the fact I think the first superhero should be Superboy in 1938, who do you think should the first canon superhero be if it isn’t Clark Kent? I’m biased so my pick is Jay Garrick but I’m curious what everyone else thinks.
it’s a complete flanderization and misunderstanding of the character that leads to them being huge idiots about any prickly or negative trait about him. “Hopecore” fans hate when he’s lonely, introspective, brooding, anything. He has to be nice, that’s it.
Might get lynched for this but I lowkey really don't like the idea of the Universe revolving around Superman. I think he should be an important figure to the Universe, but not the center piece.
Okay, give me your DC hot take
Jerry Siegel is the one who gave Lex Luthor his backstory as a kid in smallville. Lex didn’t have a backstory before that. It wasn’t a retcon. It’s literally the first telling of his backstory by the character’s creator and the creator or Superman.
From Superboy, to Lex being from Smallville, to the Legion, to Supergirl. Why do so many Superman fans hate foundational aspects of Superman?
Not ready to do a full review of it yet, since I still have the second volume to read. But man I am really loving this run. It has everything I want in a team book. - Good Character Dynamic/Interactions ✅ - Character Drama ✅ - Character Development - Epic Storylines ✅
