We are in Sironko District for our second day of the greening campaign. We have visited Nambalu SS and Bugusege Primary School. With Oxfam, we educated learners about the importance of trees in combating climate change and also distributed reading books from @UBAUganda . 1/2

With great honor, the 3rd edition of the Elgon Half Marathon was officially launched this morning at the @UNDP offices, joined by the legendary @joshuacheptege1 @JoshChepFound

The @UNDPUganda Resident Representative, @NwanneObahor added: “In 2024, more than 4,400 trees were planted in schools and communities across Amudat, Tororo, and the wider Elgon region. This year, we aim higher—to grow 6,000 trees, and deeper community engagement.”…
