In their post-championship buzz, the Bucks flexed their muscles and ramped up efforts to be the major tenant for a new arena, citing the lower capacity at the Milwaukee Arena and their lease with the MECCA board. From the June 16, 1972 edition of the Milwaukee Sentinel.

A fun look back here at the "last" edition of the Wisconsin State Fair held in 1971. And there's a Bucks connection, too. Included in this deep dive is the Bucks' efforts to move to a proposed Coliseum that would have been built within State Fair Park grounds.
