THE REVISED GREAT PETITION: “SAVE THE SUDD” I appeal for 10,000 signatures to submit to President of Republic saying: 1- No to digging of Jonglei Canal and dredging of our rivers 2- Yes to economic reforms and good governance Follow this link: chng.it/VdZzCFyH
There is a lot of racism against darker skin Africans exercised by Ethiopian Airlines staff everywhere & everyday. I have chosen to avoid Ethiopian Airlines myself, small individual action and won’t affect the mega company, but at least I don’t have to deal with it in my life!
ETHIOPIAN CULTURAL DIPLOMATIC INITIATIVE Will be met with scepticism by many fellow African. And if Ethiopians don’t practice “colourless hospitality” in their skies, they might as well forget it. Friends come and go. But enemies accumulate. #EndRacismOnEthiopianAirlines
THE CHALLENGE FOR ETHIOPIAN AIRLINES’ Management is to convince ground staff and cabin crew to cease discrimination against African passengers in preference of Europeans and fair skinned Arabs and Asians. Call for end to racism on Ethiopian Airlines #EthiopianAirlinesRacism

While the world watches conflict and chaos, Ethiopia is quietly building one of Africa’s most ambitious space programs. Through the Space Science and Geospatial Institute (SSGI), real national capacity is being built, from satellite operations to digital maps.
THE TRANSITIONAL CONSTITUTION OF THE REPUBLIC OF SOUTH SUDAN, 2011 A book full of wisdom. An essential reading and as a source of guidance and instruction for good governance. Highly recommended to everyone interested in governance and civil rights.

YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT Is a grave concern worth noting. Young people are collecting university degrees from home and abroad. For majority of them, years pass without gaining employment. Not addressed sooner, the social and political risks this poses are enormously incalculable.
A WINNING TEAM Is composed of “yes men” in addition to presence of “naysayers” and “doom prophets” that act as filters and stoppers of bad decisions. Hence keep the team under control and protect the enterprise from danger of groupthink & annihilation. Happy weekend, friends.

SERVICES REFUGEES? I had a photo op with SSD family at Munyonyo park near Kampala while I was out attending a scientific conference in 2019. On Independence Day lets us resolve to create peaceful, free, and conducive environment for return of families back home. Happy Ind Day

THIS DAY IS A THIRD ANNIVERSARY OF THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION AT UNIVERSITY OF JUBA It led to suspension by the President of the Republic of plans to dredge the Sudd and revive the infamous Jonglei Canal Project.
PUBLIC CONSULTATIVE FORUM AT UOJ ON DREDGING OF BG/NAAM Huge turnout for the event of more than 1,200 students, staff, and members of general public on Friday 8 July 2022. A significant event in the fight to Save the Sudd Wetland
I CARE LESS If the whole government of RSS is Red (Malwal) or Blue (Mangok), as long long as there is freedom and justice for ALL it will be fine. Like they say, the test of the pudding is in the eating. A government position is not a previlige, it is a heavy responsibility.

A CHINESE QUOTE WORTHS NOTING A country whose thinkers cannot fight, and her fighters cannot think, will have her thinking done by cowards, and fighting done by fools. Sunday blessings, My Friends

SOUTH SUDAN HAS EVERYTHING !! The only thing lacking is the willingness to do the right thing MOST of the time. Happy Independence Anniversary weekend, My Friends.

Public education changes the world. It sheds light. It opens minds. No?
The question is , where do you fall ,, seems you’re being swayed with us
ONLY 20% OF ANY POPULATION CHANGE THEIR SOCIETY According to Suzan Sontag, 10% of any population are cruel (corrupt), no matter what; and 10% are merciful (not corrupt), no matter what; while the remaining 80% can be swayed to go either way. With Sunday blessings, My Friends

SOUTH SUDAN: A CALL FOR MASS HIGHER EDUCATION I published this article on University World News after I organized the first conference on the future of higher education in South Sudan in November 2011. I still find it appealing today. universityworldnews.com/post.php?story…

I prefer to be “vulgar” than entertain pure evil. The nepotists deserve the hottest place in the h**l
That's main institutions' failure in SSD, but word "shit" becomes too vulgar,
HOW-NOT-TO DESTROY AN INSTITUTION Is to avoid filling it with clan’s men and women who go on to behave like a pack of wolves, misusing resources, and treating those “others” like sh*t With Sunday blessings, My Friends

COUNTRIES Can learn from mistakes of: 1) Sudan on the consequences of replacing national army with ruling party own militia 2) German’s government in interfering with the autonomy of universities. 3) Harvard’s current experience harvardmagazine.com/2025/06/how-un…
