FL and TX going to the max is probably the only way Dem control of the house is in real jeopardy

GOP inexplicably dropped the ball in several states in 2021 so this isn't shocking, they are going a bit over aggressive in TX but some other states have easy changes for free seats

Personally I think drawing out a seat in Dallas is playing with fire and they probably wouldn't do that. They will probably lock down the 3 RGV seats and draw out Lizzie Fletcher. Otherwise incumbents will be throwing a fit and that does carry real weight based on 2021.

Definitely seems like Adams could win it Cuomo and/or Sliwa drop out. Should be a competitive race at least

I think TX senate could be a strong candidate for a Musk Party spoiler effect. It's his home state now and lots of Cornyn primary voters could be looking for an alternative to Paxton. It could take some votes away from Dems too though depending on exactly how it works out.

I said repeatedly during the campaign that Trump would be worse for the deficit than Harris, most didn't believe me. People are such suckers and hear what they want to hear.

Two-party system is a competitive symbiosis. If one of the parties becomes dysfunctional, the other doesn't have the incentive to try very hard to win and begins to rot as well. Becomes a self-reinforcing negative spiral toward the lowest denominator.

Hard to get to 51 but Dems are in good shape for senate races next year. Probably could have won NC even w/ Tillis and Paxton puts TX seriously in play. GA is unlikely to flip w/o Kemp and ME is very much in play. Would need some extra oomph for OH/IA or AK though.

A real shame that the few good ones are getting pushed out on both sides.

Can Adams be given the Fight and Deliver line? Because my guess is that Mamdani is not going to be mayor. Cuomo needed to lose, now a new coalition can form in the general election which will have a good chance, almost certainly in favor of Eric Adams but maybe another moderate.

Good riddance to Andrew Cuomo! He is completely undeserving of any elected office.

Mamdani might not win but I think it will be in single digits at least. Cuomo will dominate the first round but I think Mamdani will be a lot of people's 3/4/5 choice.

First good thing Trump has done this entire term. Iran is a violent, theocratic state. They have no rights. This was long overdue but better late than never.

It's still crazy to me that Cuomo has a very good chance of winning. It just goes to show that on both sides of the aisle we really are beholden to a majority of voters who are just ignorant and so easily swayed by bad actors.
