MPA candidate Grayson Golden joined the @cityofbellaire in the spring through the new Teaching Cities program, gaining hands-on experience in public budgeting, public works, parks and more. This initiative connects graduate students with real-world public service.

Thank you to the lawmakers and their staff who hosted Hobby Fellows this legislative session for providing an environment in which they could learn how government works. They are following in the footsteps of our namesake, whose legacy exemplifies a commitment to public service.

The 2025–2026 Certified Public Manager cohort met Cynthia Wilson, advisor to Houston’s mayor, who shared her expertise on organizational communication strategies during their third track training. Wilson emphasized message alignment, audience focus, planning and next steps.
