Happily married, own a bookstore with my husband, and writing when I can. Enjoy reading, jigsaw puzzles, and video games. Still miss my old dojo.
Running a mile during a school day wasn't much fun, but running a mile under a full moon feels amazing.
The age-old dilemma: it's a stormy night and a hot bath is waiting. Do I read a childhood favorite book or new thriller while I soak? What to do, what to do..?
It's FREEZING outside and the wind is awful. But I have my homemade beef and orzo soup and it's chasing away the chill nicely.
The days leading up to Christmas means my apartment turns into a brownie factory.
Having a Meet Santa event at the bookstore and we could only find one elf hat. Solution? I use my Halloween wolf ears. I am the Christmas Wolf!
I have completed my NANOWRIMO challenge: 50,076 words. Ready to play Disney Dreamlight Valley's new expansion on the 20th! @DisneyDLV
If you're on Long Island on October 25, join us at the Dog-Eared Bard's Book Shop in East Northport for the launch of our Halloween anthology "Ghosts, Echoes, and Shadows." Everyone is welcome here.
3 years since my husband and I opened The Dog-Eared Bard's Bookstore. Here's to many more years doing what we love!
I made seven batches of brownies for a big event this week and thus far have received at least twice as many compliments. Well, I love baking brownies as much as people love eating them!
Happy Summer Solstice, everyone. My husband and I are spending the longest day of the year in the Magic Kingdom in Orlando!
My nieces wanted to play "Simon Says" today. I had them pretend to open a box and say, 'We have such sights to show you."
Happy National Independent Bookstore Day, everybody!
The best part of getting donations of books at my store is that I get first pick. Found two Lawrence Sanders novels today!
Still nothing as good as fresh homemade beef and orzo soup.
Seeing someone find books they were looking for during one of our sales and being so excited to read them is, hands down, one of the best feelings ever.
Well, we have snow flurries, but our bookstore is open! Besides, what's better than a book on a snowy day?
Still can't believe my oldest niece is six years old. I'm just grateful to be her aunt.
Running a sale at the book store today. Someone's change came out to 19.84!
Freezing cold winter night. What do I do? Make meatloaf, mashed potatoes and corn with fresh Italian bread for my husband and I. Perfect way to warm up.
Was up nearly all night making plenty of brownies for our Meet Santa event at the store tomorrow. Worth it though; I love baking and people love my brownies.
