There was a new statute in October 2005 in one of the areas I practice in. A big overhaul of some of the Code sections. Here, in the year of our Lord 2025, I am STILL having to tell other attorneys they need to file certain documents required by those changes. 20 years in OCT!

The pretentious way people spell their names sometimes is ridiculous. Makes me laugh how some people twist the alphabet to spell their names uniquely.

Full circle moment: lawyer who offered me my first job as a lawyer (which I didn’t take) is now leaving the practice & I’m his inventory attorney & will be finding new lawyers to take over his remaining cases. Sad event as he’s leaving due to illness.
At lunch and the woman in front of me placing her order said her name was Anna Nicole Smith. I said I thought she was dead and everyone laughed. 😀
Every year when the Tour de France is in the Pyrenees, I think about all the people who walked over the mountains from France to escape the German regime in the 1940s. What a trudge to some semblance of freedom that had to be. Bless them.
