Single molecule biophysicist poking fun in cells
This is incredible! otto-SR, an autonomous AI agent reproduced 12 systematic reviews from April 2024 Cochrane issue in just 2 days saving 8,000+ hours per review. A single systematic reviews usually takes a year. This means, otto-SR did 12 years of labor in 2 days.
Trick bacteria with light! It took us a very long time to publish this work, but perseverance and teamwork prevailed. @ Ryan McQuillen @novayang1112 @ Amilcar Perez @Malcolm Winkler @ Erin Goley @ Kumaran Ramamurthi nature.com/articles/s4146…

Very excited to share that our paper about Inducible RNA decay and P-Body is published on @natcomms. This work was spearheaded by @LABlake93 @BiophysicsJHMed in collaboration with @InoueLabJHMI and @yliu_UofU. nature.com/articles/s4146…
We shows that FtsZ treadmilling acts both as a template to corral cell wall enzymes into close contacts for priming and as a conveyor to homologize the septal distribution of cell wall synthesis for even septum constriction. Great collaborations w/t @jiexiao_lab & D.S. Weiss.

Out today in PNAS: @zpfaffen worked with JiyoungKim @rpi and @kotov_group to understand how light-to-matter chirality transfer enables 3D printing of chiro-#plasmonic nanostructures! pnas.org/doi/10.1073/pn…
#BPS2024 continues— Dr. Brooke Britton is giving a fantastic talk on the activation mechanism for cell wall synthesis in bacteria. Great work with @ZachHensel @rem_yo and Albert Lau

Very proud of our shinning SRAA winner Martin Yepes #BPS2024

Congrats to our own PMB graduates students @JHU_Mol_Biophys Martin Yepes and Taylor Delvin @KarenFlemingPhD for winning the #BPS2024 Student Research Achievement Award!
