Fr. Michael Davidson, SJ, recently led a pilgrimage to Spain that visited key Ignatian sites for Boston College students from high financial need backgrounds. The group is pictured having celebrated Mass in the Cave at Manresa where St. Ignatius composed the Spiritual Exercises.

Students from Boston College High School and St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia visited Le Moyne College. The students spent an afternoon doing volunteer work with Le Moyne alum Andrew Lunetta, founder of A Tiny Home for Good, which builds homes for the homeless.

While recently in Micronesia, Provincial Fr. Joseph O’Keefe, SJ, signed a new agreement with Bishop Julio Angkel between the Province and the Diocese of the Caroline Islands. The agreement will ensure even greater collaboration between the Society of Jesus and the Diocese.

Today is the feast of St. Kateri Tekakwitha (1656–1680), the first Native American saint, known as the “Lily of the Mohawks.” St. Kateri Tekakwitha, pray for us.

Last month, Fr. Vinny Marchionni, SJ, received the Community Leadership Award from the NYPD 41st Precinct for "unwavering commitment to the Hunts Point & Longwood communities." It is given to community members who foster positive relationships between the neighborhood and police.

Fr. Joseph Lorenz, SJ, who was ordained in June, recently celebrated Mass with the senior Jesuits of the Colombiére Jesuit Community in Baltimore. He then had dinner with them and enjoyed hearing their stories and talking about his own path to the priesthood. AMDG!

Boston College High School has announced the appointment of Dr. Paul Manuel ’77 – a veteran Catholic school educator – as its 28th principal. Dr. Manuel brings more than 25 years of experience in academic leadership across both secondary and higher education.

On June 26, Dickson Tiwelfil, SJ, was ordained to the priesthood in Yap, Micronesia where he grew up and first met the Jesuits. He was blessed to have on hand his brother Jesuits from Micronesia and others who made the long journey to celebrate with him. jesuitseast.org/press-release/…
