112 Article was suspended in the 2018, 2022 elections for its invalidity. Creating 6 electoral districts exclusively for non-resident Lebanese contradicts the principle of equality in rights &duties between resident & diaspora citizens, a principle guaranteed by our Constitution.

Limiting the diaspora to 6 seats conflicts with the principle of connecting them to their land & participation in Lebanon’s political life. Article 112 is a process that deprives expatriates of their right to vote in all 128 electoral districts across the country. -Patriarch Rahi

The core aim of the U.S. mediation is to place the initiative in the hands of the Leb State. Unfortunately, as long as the Hezb clings to its armed project, the state remains incapable of shielding Lebanon & its people from a war against the Hezb & by extension, against Lebanon.
