It's not much! But a rumble of thunder and a few little downpours are popping up in a small part of Collin, Tarrant and Dallas Counties. A few lucky lawns will get a nice drink.
Hot! You didn't think we'd escape the summer with ZERO triple-digit days, did you?

The hottest days of the year are expected this week. The hottest we've been so far is 99°, but we expect a triple-digit day or two toward the middle of the week. Scattered rain and storms will move back in toward the end of the week which will also bring the temps down.

A WFAA Weather Alert Day is in effect for Monday and Tuesday. High temperatures will be in the middle and upper 90s, but with the humidity, heat index values will be as high as 107° for parts of North Texas.

Only 2 on record. 1973 and 1906
Have we ever had a summer without a 100 degree day?
Another hot and humid day in store for Sunday. Make sure you take frequent breaks and hydrate if you plan on being outside for an extended period of time.

We still have not hit 100 degrees! We have a fairly good chance at hitting 100 before the month is over. Wednesday and Thursday will be the best chance. If we don't... that would join only 18 other summers with zero 100 degree days through the end of July.

One degree at a time! We are headed back up toward 100 before the month is over. Heat index values each day will be above 100.

I see it here in Midlothian Tx, TX. It feels like it's been ages since I've seen a storm. @TxStormChasers @JesseWFAA
Beautiful cell near Terrell, TX, looking from eastern Dallas County. #txwx @TxStormChasers
Higher humidity this weekend will keep the heat index values high. We're back to approaching the 100° mark next week.

Isolated rain and storms are possible this weekend mainly southeast of the metroplex. While the temps aren't quite as hot this weekend, the humidity will surge and make it feel rough.

While Saturday afternoon's air temperature won't be as hot as today, the humidity will be higher. That will keep the heat index around 105° even though actual highs may only reach 95°. Another Heat Advisory and WFAA Weather Alert Day are in place for that reason.

A little rain! Isolated downpours are rolling through parts of Henderson and Van Zandt Counties.
A Heat Advisory will be in effect again on Friday for heat index values up to 107°. Stay hydrated, limit time outdoors, and CHECK THE BACK SEAT. Friday is another WFAA Weather Alert Day.

Lots of heat and even a few chances of rain! While the rain chances aren't the greatest, isolated to scattered showers or storms are possible this weekend. Many will be dry, but a lucky few could get a quick downpour.

We don't have widespread rain in the forecast this weekend, but isolated to scattered showers and storms are possible mainly Saturday. The highest coverage is expected to be southeast of the metroplex. No severe weather in the forecast.

Yes... it's hot. But let's be honest. This summer has been going pretty well considering we live in Texas.
