God, I want my life to be about You and not myself. Teach me and change me - ODB prayer.
Don’t burn bridges. It’s not wise. These days the craze of some folks is to easily call out people. People who may have helped, aided, assisted, supported, or given us leads to jobs, career growth paths, opportunities, etc. Because they disagreed with our choices or opinions…
Don’t reject elderly advice. Rehoboam rejected the advice of the older men who counselled his father, Solomon, and rather listened to the opinion of his peers — those who had grown up with him (2 Chronicles 10:6-16). His contemporaries couldn’t have been any wiser than the…
The believer who doesn’t thirst to worship his King is like a fish who doesn’t like water. He doesn’t exist. All genuine Christians adore their Master with all their heart.
There is no fear in love. Instead, perfect love drives away fear. That's because fear has to do with being punished. The one who fears does not have perfect love. - 1 John 4:18
God doesn’t bless rebellion just because you feel peace about it.
Humility is a virtue that everyone especially Christians must possess. For God lifts the humble and brings down the proud at heart
From scripture I have come to understand that, it is human nature to forget what he was like before coming into prominence. Both Rehabeam and Jeroboam all forgot about God once HE helped them to strengthen their holds on their respective Kingdoms.
Very true. Humility brings exaltation. Humility is a mother of exaltation
Humility is a precious virtue. “Because Rehoboam humbled himself, the LORD's anger was turned away, and he did not destroy him completely. There were still some good things in the land of Judah.” — 2 Chronicles 12:12
It’s not an easy burden we carry. The good news is, the Lord lightens this burden. Make us true to our responsibility, Lord!
Seek the Lord God, shun evil! “But Rehoboam was an evil king, for he did not seek the LORD with all his heart”, (read 2 Chronicles 12:14). No one pleases God when they ignore Him.

‘When Rehoboam was firmly established and strong, he abandoned the Law of the LORD, and all Israel followed him in this sin’ (2 Chronicles 12:1). May it not be our story that when we are “established and strong” we will ignore God and lead others including our families into sin.
We cannot be true unless we have the truth, Jesus Christ. May we live to reflect the truth that Jesus Christ is as He is the only way to the Father, (read John 14:6).
Let Jesus rule in all areas of your life. No matter how good or spiritual we are in most areas of life, we cannot compartmentalise our relationship with God. God can't affect just our friendships while being completely absent from others like our sex life. It never works that…
Pagan women: Solomon’s nemesis ‘Solomon carefully followed God's instructions for building the Temple and offering sacrifices (2 Chronicles 8:13), but he disregarded what God said about marrying pagan women. Solomon married Pharaoh's daughter to secure a military alliance with…
