A few notes from day 1 of #Saints camp: - Short practice. Heat not a factor (that'll change) - All the non PUP players were in action (a few roster spots still open). Always a nice thing at this stage. - Rattler took 1st team reps (Shough will get 1st team tomorrow). Low-key…
Something both Demario Davis and Alvin Kamara mentioned about Kellen Moore is “time efficiency,” making sure everyone’s time is being maximized. It’s something Kellen has talked about, everything is done for a reason, and it’s clearly appreciated by the veteran players. #Saints
Alvin Kamara on his first training camp practice with Kellen Moore. #Saints
Shortest practices of camp will be today and tomorrow. Like that in every camp. Evolution. Just some info to go with my artsy pic. @WWLAMFM
Taysom Hill was out on the sidelines for the first practice today. He’s still a long way out, but good to see him engaged. #Saints
Kellen Moore said both Spencer Rattler and Tyler Shough are even going into camp (based on their work to this point in the offseason). Probably not worth reading too much into Rattler getting the first shot with the 1s, someone had to get it. #Saints
Tyler Shough will be getting the first-team reps on Thursday. Today was a Spencer Rattler day. #Saints
Other than the PUP guys (Taysom Hill and Foster Moreau) looks like perfect attendance on Day 1 for the Saints.
It’s camp time. #Saints Some combined position group drills today.
“You seem happier” Thanks, it’s Day 1 of Saints Camp 🙌 #Saints | @RousesMarkets
It's 7 a.m. and I'm already arguing with fantasy football stooges. We're so BACK.
The #Saints have found their replacement for the Honey Badger, as they are signing #Colts FA S Julian Blackmon, sources say. Tyrann Mathieu’s retirement today led to a pre-camp roster move.
Makes sense ... I don't think the Saints will be keen on handing a starting safety role in Brandon Staley's defense to an inexperienced player. Scheme just asks way too much of that position.
The #Saints are working to sign free agent safety Julian Blackmon as a Honey Badger replacement, per sources. Nothing done but sides have been in talks. With Tyrann Mathieu retiring, Blackmon is one of the best safeties still available.
