Finally finished the novel, L.A. Confidential, last night. I have to say, the movie is better in my honest opinion. I'll be the first to admit that I tend to like the first iteration of something I encounter better than other versions, and I'll admit that as far as an adaptation…

Tattoo design for my brother. I think he might regret breaking my G.I. Joes when we were kids by the time he gets out of the chair, lol.

Watched this on Netflix last night. I've not played the game, so was unbiased (though I fear fans of the game may hate this adaptation). The sound mixing was so bad (seriously, Sony started out in audio, right?) and the characters so unlikeable we almost dipped in the first 10…

Funny story from the vacation: We were playing a party game with my aunt and uncle where you've got 5 seconds to name 3 things. The topic "Authors of Fiction" came up. Both aunt and uncle got 0 on their turns. With ME sitting right there.😅
After finishing L.A. Confidential, I decided to look up the Lana Turner/Johnny Stompanato fling to see how much was true. Found out Stomp threatened Turner and Sean Connery at gunpoint on set. Connery disarmed him and chased him off. Dude was 100% IRL.

Well, this is a new one. I subbed a story a full week before the submission window closed and got a form rejection within minutes. Guess I'm blackballed by somebody 'cause they sure didn't have time to read the story, lol. Oh well, one less market to waste time on.
I have returned! The wife and I slipped away for a little vacation to see family in Orlando. Much fun and adventure (and feasting) were had. Now, back to regularly scheduled programs of diet, exercise, art, and writing.

Thanks to everyone who helped boost the signal yesterday! For those who might have missed it, here's another chance to help out the indie community and score some karma. Cheers!
Friends, I'd like to ask you to get the word out. My publisher (and dear friend) is having a rough go of it ATM. She could really use some help. So, if you're in the market for some indie fiction or some hot sauce, please check out Dark Owl Publishing's website. Thanks.
Just wrote "THE END" on the first draft of the first short story I've written in months. Feels kinda good.
Attn: Rage Posters. Can you please find new topics to rage about? I'm already worn out by Pop Culture's constant rehashing of my childhood and formative years. Must I also suffer seeing the same arguments I saw this time last year? Thanks in advance.
Stick a fork in it, I think it's done. My Logan's Run tribute:

Watched these for the first time on Netflix last night. I've not been so disappointed in a sequel since Highlander 2. The first kept me guessing and engaged the entire runtime. The second had me wondering when the ponderous thing would end.

I post these WIPs for two reasons: 1 - To allow me to see the image in a different context, away from the drawing board or the paint program. 2 - To get helpful criticism from you guys.

New #WIP Do you recognize this iconic #scifi couple?
Well, this certainly made my day!
The Last Star Warden: Lost in Transit by @JasonJMcCuiston Review Very Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon. Love the artwork. It is a little hard to read the author’s name on the cover. The book definitely felt like reading an old pulp fiction book. The origin story of Warden and Quantum…
Well, since everyone's talking about the Red Sonja trailer, I might as well post this again.

Anybody use Spectrum Mobile? I've been with Verizon for a LONG time, but their rates keep climbing. Would it be a good idea to jump ship, or no?
