Park Board Chair Christensen has ruled that it “does not qualify as urgent business,” thus it will not be heard tonight. Christensen moved it to the next meeting … after the pool is closed for the summer. Howard chose to withdraw her motion.

Park Board Cllr. Howard has moved to introduce a motion to end the COVID-era reservation system at Kits Pool. She argued that it was “urgent business” given the fact that this is the board’s last meeting until September.

The board has decided to delay a vote ‘til September so the motion can be heard by committee.

Park Board Cllr. Virdi has introduced a motion to assist Jericho Little League in the construction of a permanent, enclosed community baseball training facility at Carnarvon Park. The privately-funded project has the support of Premier Eby, MP Grant, and the Vancouver Canadians.
