We had a great time and met some truly wonderful people at the @OurSaleWest Extravaganza - family fun day!




We had a really interesting tour with @TraffordArchive including the @mr_sidebottom Exhibition. Trafford Local Studies have an incredible amount of fascinating historic material including the original document of 1290 of the Altrincham Charter.

It was lovely to be invited to @victoriaparkjnr to present the annual VPJS Values Award. The Award is in memory of Ruth Rogers who worked at the school for 38 years, linked to the school values of Respect, Equality, Aspiration, Responsibility, Love and Courage.

Good to invited as Mayor of Trafford to met many interesting people at the Networking Reception with the Ambassadors of the EU. The event celebrated the rich European connections of Greater Manchester, a city with a long history of international cooperation and cultural exchange.

Cllr Jane Brophy, Mayor of Trafford, said: Mary was a visionary and a true champion. Not just as someone who provided the money. Mary did that but she also rolled up her sleeves and got involved when it was needed. Mary was a liberal in her political life and a Unitarian.

It was a huge honour as Mayor of Trafford to be part of the blue plaque unveiling event @worthpark, named after Mary Worthington. Worthington Park was first opened to the public 125 years ago. A green space for the benefit of local residents to enjoy. worthingtonpark.org.uk




I met many lovely people at the Altrincham Interfaith Groups Annual Afternoon Tea. It was a special afternoon of people of different faiths coming together to share food, grace and blessings. Thank you for inviting me.




After their death, Hindus are cremated; the ashes of which are then scattered in flowing water bodies. The SHANTIR project will have a dedicated platform at the river Irwell for this process. The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Jane Brophy & the Altrincham Interfaith Group were updated.
