Herat in Khorasan is possibly the oldest carpet weaving centre in all of the Persian world. The earliest geometric Persian rugs are known to have been woven there, and during the 16th and 17th centuries a specific style of dense floral patterning is attributed to Herat's looms.

It's Pashtunism that's forcing our people to seek refuge. Pashtunism is banning our girls' education & women from working. Pashtunism is why we're all associated with terrorism. Pashtunism is why we're one of the world's most impoverished countries. Pashtunism is the cancer.

Russia is, was, and always will be, sc*m. There is no greater enemy of Tajiks and their embarrassment in Ukraine is fitting.
#BREAKING Russia officially recognises Taliban government in Afghanistan; Afghan FM calls move 'brave'
Like the crescendo of a fireworks display, both Israel and Iran have tried to finish off as strong as possible before the show ends, to leave a lasting impression. In all likelihood there will be another round in the near future, and possibly more.
As Tajiks, we should take these moments to ponder and use perspective. Everything rests on our internal unity, our industry, organisation, and dedication to practical action, as opposed to rhetoric. The capacity is there, but it needs to be harnessed.
Pertinent points here. For all the popularity Reza Pahlavi seems to enjoy in the diaspora, in ~45 years he does not appear to have been able to build a robust political coalition whilst in opposition. Iran's diaspora is full of capable talent and dissenting voices - what gives?
A friend made a great observation about Pahlavi today. The clear sign that Pahlavi lacks influence is that he has no team or surrogates. The one-man band quality of his communications—no one is ever standing “behind him” or “with him” in his videos—reflects his isolation.
Excellent analysis on the tactics used in the Israel-Iran conflict 👇🏻 By striking first under a clear false pretense, Israel has relinquished part of the victim narrative that it usually relies on heavily and plays so well.

The terrorist state of Israel is finally learning that it cannot act with impunity & without severe consequence. The more they attack Iran, the more defiant Iranians in Iran will become in resistance. Reprisal attacks will only increase pressure on the war criminal Netanyahu.
#BREAKING: Sirens sound in Tel Aviv after missiles launched from Iran. TRT World's Mohammad Al-Kassim is there
India wants a US-Israel coalition to force regime change in Iran so that once complete, their heads turn towards Pakistan & they can partner up to begin destabilisation there. Make no mistake - the Pashtun Taliban on both sides of the Durand are also in on this alongside Israel.

Seeing Iran possess the ability to repeatedly evade the world's most developed air defence make me again laugh at the notion of the Taliban taking on Iran or Pakistan conventionally. A marauding horde of illiterate Pathans would be cannon fodder for any regular force.
Against another nation the Taliban have 0 ability to fight a conventional war w/out attack aircraft & air defence capability. The likes of Pakistan & Iran could sit vessels off their coasts to hit every military installation & piece of crit. infrastructure w/ minimal consequence
Once while visiting a friend's home as a teen, I came into conflict with his neighbour. The neighbour had taken issue with me, I retorted. Immediately, my friend told me to stop. "Why?" I exasperated. "It's their fault!" "In a few hours, you'll go home. I have to live here".

One thing established in recent conflicts is that too many of these citizen journalism, OSINT type platforms are pure trash. Devoid of any fact checking and verification. Guaranteed these glorified engagement farmers will not replace mainstream, 'legacy' media anytime soon.
Regardless of which regime rules it, Iran will always be Iran. A rich, old world civilisation spanning millenia. It plays to a different strategy than that of a colonial upstart built on genocide. Iran will exist forever; Israel will struggle to last another 50.
Sanctions on Iran are designed for this very situation; should it be attacked by Western powers it would have limbs missing, with the body thus unable to adequately defend incursions. I suspect Iran may now go to some lengths to court 🇨🇳 or 🇷🇺 to upgrade its antiquated airforce.
Everybody's trying to find the Iranian Air Force. It's nowhere to be seen.
