Textbook run down executed by the Mariners. 1) Chaser running hard inside the line with the ball up. 2) Flat dart like feed to receiver. 3) Chaser dodges inside to avoid obstruction. 4) Receiver meets throw, tags runner & looks for a secondary play. DASH DART DODGE
Runner tries to steal 3B with a bad jump(Starts & Stops) & with an open lane to throw, Maldonado throw him out from his LKD stance.
Red Sox Carlos Narváez with “effortless effort” throw out. Look at how his head & eyes stay on the target. Also key that the that the throw is on the first base side of 2B & the tag is made well up the line.
You want perspective listen to Scottie Scheffler. IMO this approach allows him to perform with such consistency.
"I love being able to play this game for a living. It's one of the greatest joys of my life, but does it fill the deepest wants and desires of my heart? Absolutely not." All-time five minutes here from Scottie. Must watch stuff.
Very cool stat comparison regarding Greg Maddux’s command.
Absurd stuff
Textbook high ball move by the Cubs Reese McGuire. Fast, extended & good hold timing.
When you don’t go back on an infield LD this is what can happen. The cue”freeze on a line drive” does not work. To truly imprint the desired reaction into your base runners, it is important to rep it during BP.
