Never mind all those thumping epic orchestral film scores with massed ensembles of drums & synths, it’s sometimes delightful to write something pretty for a small wind ensemble for example.🤷
Despite Jimmy living a somewhat luxurious life in a lovely house surrounded by gorgeous countryside, his publisher manages to occasionally lure him out of being a recluse to compose & record the odd track, the last time in 2016!
Of course, such huge global success comes with significant rewards, and Jimmy Hillside was able to more-or-less completely retire at an incredibly young age...unlike some of us still working well into our 60s!!🙃
30 years ago in a bid to save failing Eurodisney, they embarked on one of the biggest & most successful ad campaigns ever with this ad for Space Mountain on almost every Disney VHS globally inc. The Lion King, Pocahontas & many more. My soundtrack was a big part of its success!🙏

Living with a wonderful instrument like this is such a creative journey. Complex & rich, my relationship to it varies every day. But so glad I invested in it, it has repaid that many times over with so many 100s of hours of joyful playing.🙏🎹
