So disappointing to see the VP of Student Life fail to support his students when they need him most. Cornell's willingness to cave to racist fear-mongering shows their priorities lie with donors & PR, not with protecting their students. Is this a corporation or a college?
This morning, VP of Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi rejected the first of two possible appeals submitted by @MomodouTaal to reserve his suspension. Taal has one more chance to appeal- this time to the provost- by 5 p.m. Fri. to keep his F-1 visa and stay in the country.
Apparently my behaviour is a danger to Cornell’s campus and that warrants a persona non-grata status, ban from campus and effectively deportation . These are statements from my students regarding the type of environment I foster in my classroom.

Cornell University has a $10 billion endowment. Management could easily afford to treat workers with the dignity and respect they deserve. Instead, Cornell is attempting to union bust by encouraging retirees and faculty to scab. This is textbook corporate greed. @UAWregion9
DSA 🤝 UAW Fighting for the working class! National Co-Chair @ahSHEEK and NPC member @caratobe met @uawshawnfain in Chicago today. Fain shared how much he and UAW members everywhere have seen how DSA organizers across the country show up and stand up alongside them.
