My husband got COVID a week after I gave birth to my son this January. Neither myself nor the newborn got it from him despite extensive contact before he tested himself. I was happy to have received my COVID booster during pregnancy. I am sad that others will lose that option.
Today, the COVID vaccine for healthy children and healthy pregnant women has been removed from @CDCgov recommended immunization schedule. Bottom line: it’s common sense and it’s good science. We are now one step closer to realizing @POTUS’s promise to Make America Healthy Again.

FIBRONEER-IPF results now online at NEJM!!! Nerandomilast slowed FVC decline at 52 weeks: −114.7 ml (18 mg BID) vs −183.5 ml (placebo) Difference: +68.8 ml (p<0.001) Benefit seen with and without background antifibrotics. #ATS2025

ERJ: Pirfenidone does not significantly reduce the proportion of patients with post-COVID-19 fibrotic changes after 6 months of treatment. FVC % improvement and % HRCT fibrotic reduction with pirfenidone were not statistically different from placebo. bit.ly/4alhGid
