I’m humbled and honoured to serve as Mayor of Islington. I promise to serve our amazing borough with purpose and passion. I’ll champion our diverse communities, support families and young people, uplift local businesses, and ensure everyone in Islington feels seen and heard.❤️

I had the pleasure of opening the new @NLondonHospice charity shop on Upper Street, a brilliant space supporting the charity's work in end-of-life care.
Representing Islington at the 20th anniversary Commemoration Service of the London Bombings at St Paul’s Cathedral. A solemn reminder of the lives lost and the pain endured. In the face of hate, we choose love. We stand for peace, unity and resilience.

Just attended the celebration of Bernard Adventure Playground's 50th anniversary. This cherished space has welcomed generations of Islington children to play. It was great to meet families, the awesome play workers, and local Barnsbury ward councillors supporting the space. 🎉

It was an honour to attend the celebration of @TheParentHouse's 25th anniversary. This remarkable organisation does transformative work with families in Islington. Here’s to the next 25 years of empowering parents and building community!

Just had the most joyful time at #CookingWithPride 🧑🏽🍳 An evening of food, community, and celebration at St Luke’s with @forumplus and @stlukestrust. Sharing stories over sushi, soup and solidarity. 🥢🍜
This morning, I had the pleasure of joining Duncombe Primary’s Fathers and Male Carers Coffee Morning. As a father, it meant a lot to connect with others navigating fatherhood in Islington. Let’s keep building spaces where men can talk, share, and feel supported.

Today, we marked #ArmedForcesDay by raising the flag above the Town Hall.

Today at the Jean Stokes Community Centre we marked #WindrushDay with a powerful celebration of kinship culture and care. We honoured the Windrush Generation and the legacy of kinship care in Afro-Caribbean families past and present. Yes, I did jump in to dance too 😁🖤

It was great to be at the Big Day Out in Whittington Park today. It was brilliant to see so many local groups, stalls, and families enjoying the sunshine. I even jumped in for a quick game of table tennis! It is wonderful to have this much-loved community event back this year.
Today we mark 8 years since the Finsbury Park terror attack. We remembered Makram Ali, stood with our Muslim community, and joined people of all faiths to say: No place for hate. Not in our name. Not in our borough. Not in our time. 🕊️ #NeverAgain #FaithInUnity
