roaring ocean β how loud must they be those cries for mercy

at the mountain's edge I looked back on this life I've lived how did I fall short on being your everything

her green eyes the shade of spring radiate with the light of relief . . . together at last they walk towards the pearly horizon and melt into this Italian opera

falling rose petals . . . there is still suffering in resignation
over the sand dunes the salt air sweeps across cerulean seas . . . in each other's love we see infinity

a fluttering moth pursues my light but when my light dims he flies off just when I need him the most

the sun spills onto the pages of a tattered book and specks of dust settle between tears in time I forget reality to indulge summertime musings my mind a river of rosy thoughts who says we cannot relive our greatest love stories

I will be your light during the night side of your life

sun glints on the bay a herring gull dives for diamonds

sometimes I ask the heavens to help me smooth out this troubled heart
