Another cohort of veteran case workers given training by @gmpolice Hostage & Crisis Negotiator team on how to de-escalate a situation where a veteran is in crisis & at risk of taking their life. Saving just one veterans life who is in their darkest hour makes it all worth while

Proud to call this man a @gmpolice colleague. Ryan's spent 20+ years in the @gmanacf as a cadet & a cadet leader & he is a response officer in GMP. At a recent event, the army cadet leaders could not speak highly enough of him. He's influenced so many young people for the better

I chaired the @gmpolice @hmpps Veterans in the Justice System group today. An informal group set up 2 yrs ago to bring together those who work in this area in our region. Not to change policies, just to exchange views, ideas and discuss blockages. So productive. #Collaboration

I’m delighted the right outcome was achieve, it’s all about communication. @HeroesCic have a great professional relationship with @gmpolice & when we need to work together to make sure a vulnerable veterans needs are considered, cases like this get the right outcome for everyone.

I caught up with @Skipper65133 who I’ve known through @gmpolice for over 20yrs. Garrie who is ex @RoyalNavy before GMP, had to retire on medical grounds. It was amazing to hear how @Team__Spearhead went round to his house to get him out after 6 months and he’s never looked back.

On Friday Chief Constable Watson visited @armedforceshq with myself, Chief Supt Jenkins & Sgt Flitcroft to see 1st hand the work that supports our most vulnerable evterans. Afterwards we were treated to classic Veterans Breakfast. #armedforcescovenant
