Empowering the Next Generation Last week, we successfully hosted concurrent youth camps at multiple schools across our sub-counties under @GenderHeroes The camps equipped young people with vital age appropriate knowledge on SRHR,menstruation & challenge management procedures.

With support from @GenderHeroes We today supported establishment of school health clubs at Nawandala and Nawanyingi primary school which will play a vital role in providing a platform for students to discuss health-related issues,promoting health education and awareness.




Yesterday, we had a productive PTA meeting at Nawandala Primary School where we sparked important discussions around SRHR/SGBV issues affecting learners & explored ways to support access to these services thus promoting a whole-school approach.

Day 2 Update Teachers have been equipped with data capturing techniques and empowered to develop workplans for seamless Journeys Plus program implementation in their various schools.




Our team is part of the 2-day Journeys Plus Curriculum training led by @GenderHeroes Iganga cluster which is aimed at empowering teachers from scaled up schools to deliver Journeys Plus effectively & ensure smooth program implementation across the district .

Earlier today, we commemorated World Environment Day with the district and partners where we focused on tree planting, educating young people and community about dangers of plastic pollution & on sustainable practices for environment conservation. #WorldEnvironmentDay
