The scenes out of Central Texas are heartbreaking. My prayers are with everyone impacted by the floods. Fire fighters and emergency medical workers are doing all they can as part of ongoing rescue efforts – and they’ll be there every step of the way, as long as they're needed.

While responding to a fire earlier today in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, IAFF members were ambushed in a heinous act of violence. Two of our brothers were killed by a sniper, and a third brother remains in surgery. Please keep them, their families, and law enforcement in your prayers.

🔥 On this day in 2021, IAFF members were on the ground in Surfside, FL, after the tragic Champlain Towers collapse. The #IAFF delivered P-100 respirators to protect those working the pile and partnered with @univmiami to test the air for toxins and carcinogens.
