Uploading photos by the late Halifax Town photographer Keith Middleton, with whom I collaborated on a fundraiser for the club in 2005. Please credit him if use.
Many future postings will include a short description of scores and notable events during the respective match, thanks to Johnny Meynell (@Shayman66), who has allowed me to use notes in his book "From Ball To Lillis", which covered 1968/69 to 1998/99.
Sad to hear that Joey Jones has passed away. A real character when facing the Shaymen with Wrexham & Huddersfield. Frequently received good-natured stick from us and always returned it with a grin, received with applause from us. Football needs more like him. RIP Joey.
Sad news for @htafc fans that ex-Town defender Joey Jones has died at the age of 70. That's especially the case for those who remember fist-pumping Joey head to Leeds Road with Chelsea when their fans took over the place but he clearly liked it so much he soon joined us.

Halifax Town vs Cardiff City, FA Cup 3rd Round, 10/01/1953. A 3:1 win against 1st Division opposition put Town through to play Stoke then ultimately Spurs in the 5th Round. Town wore unaccustomed white shirts & black shorts vs Cardiff's red shirts & white shorts. @Shayman66

Halifax Town's old Patron's Stand & away enclosure, late 1970s. I think the photographer was Keith Middleton. The snack bar to the right must be the same one seen in a couple of Martin Parr's photos around the same time. The new East Stand is situated in this part of the ground.

The Halifax Courier reports on one of the strangest games in Halifax Town's history, as they play a Freight Rover Trophy group game against Lincoln City at short notice 11/02/1986, on a Tuesday afternoon having both already been eliminated. An estimated 122 are in attendance.
