Ppl r exhausting. It’s just nonstop — I’m this, I’m that, I did this, I want that, I’m smarter, I’m deeper, I’m broken, I’m healing, I regret, I suffer, I dream, I’m cheated, I’m special, I’m lonely, I’m brave, I’m victimized, I’m struggling, I’m, I’m, I’m. Just shut the f#ck up
You must let go of happiness. The 'dark night of the soul' is not a phase in the journey towards truth, it's dark all the way.
“Happiness was never important. The problem is that we don't know what we really want. What makes us happy is not to get what we want. But to dream about it. Happiness is for opportunists. So I think that the only life of deep satisfaction is a life of eternal struggle,…
Happiness is a scam of evolution; it keeps us ignorant and immoral. It's like any other addiction. If you want the truth, be prepared for darkness and ready to embrace pain.
“In my old age, I’m becoming very misanthropic. I hate people.” Slavoj Žižek

Being civilized as a society, or wise as an individual, is a constant process of demoting oneself in the "Great chain of being".
"Every time I appoint someone to a vacant position, I make a hundred unhappy and one ingrate." Louis XIV

You always learn the hard way, there is no other way to learn.
"If you wish to make an apple pie from scratch, you must first invent the universe". Carl Sagan

The probability that I am a solitary brain that spontaneously assembled into existence with all my memories in an empty universe is greater than what I think I am. Yes, it's crazy but true 🙄.
Truth is terrifying. Our brain protects us from it, insulating us from the cruel, bottomless indifference of the real. The real truth isn't held by scholars, but may be found in those who have lost their immunity to the real world and gone mad.
It's not that we want to be loved despite our flaws. We want to be loved exactly because of our flaws. Without any flaws, we wouldn't need love in the first place.
Loneliness is a mental disorder, an addiction problem. If you feel lonely, it means you’re addicted to people. Loving someone is the most severe form of this disorder.
