An amasing summer school programme at Lanzhou University, China. It offers an excellent opportunity for students to see the geography and climate of the Hexi corridor and how people responded to that throughout history. Registration lnkd.in/ehehpChe

It is interesting to note that Ali Sher Navayi's Persian poems also reflect the Neoplatonic idea of kingship. The organisers have published all papers in three volumes, including my article on Navayi's political thoughts.

It was a pleasure meeting scholars at Mir Alishir Navayi's symposium. I received an award from His Excellency the President of Uzbekistan, presented to me by Mr. Normat Tursonov, the governor of Navoi Region. Navayi reconnected the Turko-Persian world once more.
