Here is my early 2026 NBA draft board. Top 30 in a class that is talented, deep, and diverse in skillsets. This is going to be a really fun class to continue watching. What do we think? Hit me with any questions/comments.

Tyrese Proctor is doing the damn thing today. Been on the ball much more with Tyson out and he’s been hooping
Darryn Peterson was the highest pre-NCAA scorer on a per 40 basis among all class of 2025 guys with 31.3 ppg the rest of his per 40 stats: 51% EFG, 56.5% TS, 35.4% FTr, 26.8% 3PTr, 9.4 REB, 4.5 AST, 1.6 A/TO, 3.9 STL, 2.2 BLK on 34.3% USG
This isn’t new, but Castle’s touch indicators are…. not ideal
Lowest Paint Non-Rim FG% (float/push/short jumper)
Lindy Waters is a Spur!
Free agent guard Lindy Waters III has agreed to a one-year deal with the San Antonio Spurs, agents Shy Saee and Winston Nelson of Klutch Sports tell ESPN. Waters has shot 37% from 3 in his first four NBA seasons in Oklahoma City, Golden State and Detroit.
2027 Jahari Miller (Indy Heat) was DOMINANT all summer on the EYBL 16s circuit. The 6'3 guard is a legitimate 3-level scorer with elite feel for the game. A clear top 40 player nationally. 18.2 PPG 2.17 A/TO 59.6 TS% 40% 3PT (7.2 att/gm)
Since making his EYBL return, Tyran Stokes has only further cemented his status as the top blue-chip prospect of the ’26 class. Stokes has shown legitimate growth in his strength creation (70% rim FG) & pull-up shooting (46.6% 3P) throughout Session 4 & Peach Jam. @tyran_stokes
The pricing here is hilarious but let’s see: Nikola Topic Kon Kneuppel Cedric Coward Toumani Camara Wemby Ron Holland Walter Clayton Jr Kelel Ware
|| Edition #4 || Create an 8-Man Rotation with $40 based off upside PG: SG: SF: PF: C: ---- 6: 7: 8:
After a fantastic summer playing up with Compton Magic, Bruce Branch (Prolific Prep) has solidified himself as the #1 player in 2027 and a truly elite prospect. Elite 2-way impact while scoring the ball at all 3 levels, shooting 39% from 3 on 5.4 att/g. He is the guy to beat in…
Which non-lotto player will have the biggest jump from Year 1 to Year 2 this season? My top 3 are: Jaylon Tyson Terrance Shannon Jr Ajay Mitchell
Who were they bidding against?
BREAKING: Nine-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard is finalizing a three-year, $42 million contract to return to the Portland Trail Blazers, sources tell ESPN. Deal is expected to include a player option in 2027-28 and a no-trade clause. A storybook reunion home for the 35-year-old.
Rippey playing for Will Wade would be cinema, though it seems like we’re pretty late to the party. Colben Landrew should be near the top of all these lists for State fans tho. Real deal talent + elite fit.
My top five 2026 HS basketball players I'd love to see NC State land, based on both fit and talent: 1. Deron Rippey. Jr (#17) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 2. Toni Bryant (#12) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 3. Cole Cloer (#32) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 4. Miikka Muurinen (#9) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5. Latrell Allmond (#40) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I don’t think this is true but I don’t say that with a ton of confidence, and that makes me a little uncomfortable
Ajae Mitchell is better at basketball than Stephon Castle btw
Jaylon Tyson has really impressed me through 3 summer league games. He's scoring in a variety of ways, which bodes well for his versatility to fit in different lineups. 19.7-6-6.7 on 54.6 TS% 1.67 A:TO 2.7 STKs 56.3% on layups 34.8 3pt% (7.7 att/gm) 1 PPP in PNR 1.3 PPP on spot…
The Jaylon Tyson breakout will be special to watch, really excited to watch him get real minutes for Cleveland next season
It’s really early and guys will develop/emerge but yeah, the high school class of 2026 has been notably weak since they were first evaluated. It’s not breaking news that draft quality is cyclical. Some are good, some are weak. It is what it is.
Wrote about the increasing concern NBA executives are expressing about the lack of star power being observed in the 2027 NBA draft. This could shift front office strategies already this summer with trade conversations around future picks and positioning for the 2026 NBA draft.
He’s at it again, folks
Kings guard Devin Carter was one of the most underdiscussed rookies this year largely due to injury, but should be primed for a really solid year 2. He followed a rough first summer league game with a 30-piece last night against the Bulls. Scored off the catch, creating off the…
Here comes Dylan Harper. Stayed aggressive despite some early struggles and is beginning to make a mark on this game. Getting downhill at will, forcing the defense to foul him, hit a transition 3. Here we go.
Spurs go on a run every time Harper comes off the floor, this film will be burned
