Yesterday I spoke in @UKParliament about the urgent need to extend @BlueBadgeUK eligibility. Cancer patients and others with life-altering conditions face exhausting battles — access to this vital scheme shouldn’t be one of them. Watch my speech here: 👇 facebook.com/share/v/16rUeg…
The courage of this man is something to behold and it was a privilege to meet Tristan, Susan’s brother John and campaigners to hear their compelling call to action. Susan was an amazing woman and I hope that, together, we can build the plan we need to save women’s lives.
Dr Susan Michaelis was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer in 2013 and pushed for further research into the disease. Yesterday, her husband Tristan met with the health secretary Wes Streeting - a meeting Susan had hoped to attend herself before she died.
Thank you @GMB for your time this morning in sharing our important message for specific research needed into the basic biology of Lobular Breast cancer. A truly powerful interview @TristanLoraine and tribute to our founder Dr. Susan Michaelis @richardm56 #Lobularbreastcancer💜

22 women a day are diagnosed with invasive lobular breast cancer in the UK. It is under researched & hard to detect, often eluding scans. @TristanLoraine's @LobularMoonShot project seeks £20m over 5 years from @wesstreeting to find a cure. More here 👇 tinyurl.com/2epcdw6f
Looking forward to engaging with local young people with an interest in politics and democracy at a fireside chat and Q & A this coming Thursday evening in Wrotham Heath. Like to join us? Click here 👇conservativeevents.blogspot.com/2025/05/mmca-y…

Picnic in the Park this weekend in #EastMalling - great live bands and loads of community atmosphere with Blacklands Scouts, Home Instead Maidstone, and former Arsenal Women’s team player Sophie Lloyd. Thanks to organiser Shirley and all the volunteers for a super day once again.

My 2nd question to the Solicitor General today was: Why is a convicted ringleader of the Rochdale child #GroomingGang still in the UK nearly 10 years after a judge ordered his deportation? We must protect the public and uphold the decisions of our courts and Parliament. Watch👇
Today I asked the Government why Britain didn't sign a letter to @ECHR_CEDH Strasbourg alongside 9 of our European allies, calling for reform of the European Convention on Human Rights, to help countries deport foreign offenders who pose a threat to the public. Watch here 👇
Grateful to @RobertJenrick @HelenGrantMP & Kieran Mullan for urging the Justice Secretary to stop Smith’s parole on the 19th. There’s no proof he’s changed—he’s still a danger, esp. to children Justice must protect victims. This can't happen again. 🔗 thesun.co.uk/news/35395857/…
I have put my name to the Bill being presented in Parliament today by @PritiPatel, to defend 🇬🇧 sovereignty of the #ChagosIslands. It has my unequivocal support, promoting the rights of British Chagossians betrayed by Labour. MPs can still stop Labour's Chagos Surrender Deal.

The @lobularmoonshot project is the most bipartisan politically supported campaign nationally with over 350 MPs supporting, who also agree lobular breast cancer needs significant more research. 💜 lobularmoonshot.org/supporters #lobularbreastcancer #lmsp #lobularmoonshotproject
Uplifting @FA event in @UKParliament today in anticipation of #WomensEuros 25 next month, with legend @RachelDaly3 surrounded by past @conservatives sports ministers (me and @HuddlestonNigel), present shadow minister @louie_french, and the 🇬🇧 @Lionesses fab Euro '22 trophy.

Asked on the news today about leaving the ECHR I explained that if we need to leave, we will leave. Not with shouty announcements, but a carefully considered plan appropriate for a serious decision with significant consequences. That’s the responsible Conservative approach…
This is shameful! As Tony's MP I will continue to work with his adoptive family to make sure sick child abusers are punished and victims get the justice they deserve. Those who commit such heinous crimes should serve their full sentences - I've written to the Lord Chancellor.

After a tough week, Tony got the most amazing surprise—a signed Inter Miami shirt from David Beckham himself! 💗⚽ Even more touching: the Beckham family has been quietly following his journey. #SirDavidBeckham #KindnessMatters #FootballLegend #InterMiamiCF #BeckhamFamily
Today @KemiBadenoch made it clear that under her leadership, if treaties get in the way of our 🇬🇧sovereignty, we will leave them. I am honoured to be appointed to co-lead her @Conservatives #Lawfare policy commission with @DXW_KC, reporting to #ConservativeConference in October.

Every MP in #Kent is backing our campaign to change the #BlueBadge system, joining me and @Kent_Online in signing a letter which will be sent to the newly elected @LeaderofKCC Linden Kemkaran today @Kent_cc. kentonline.co.uk/kent/news/ever…
Delighted to chat about law and politics (with the odd Latin reference*) to @JoshuaRozenberg for his “A Lawyer Writes” Substack: rozenberg.substack.com/p/lord-wolfson… *although none to 1930s Nazi Germany
A good analogy improves your argument. A bad one undermines it.
