Crazy oversight: Quest's Meta Horizon OS still does not have voice typing/search outside North America. You have to type everything character-by-character everywhere else in the world. @boztank can we please get this in the UK?
Starship moved to the launch site at Starbase for preflight testing
requiring Waymos to have drivers does not go far enough. every time you hit play on Spotify, you must pay a live band to perform the song in front of you. every time you use a dishwasher, you must pay a human dishwasher to wash your dishes for you.
And now! Boston city council members introduce a bill to require drivers in Waymos and create an AV advisory board stacked with unions.
The original Quest Guardian back in 2019 worked better than what they have now.

thanks for pointing this out their new fixed boundary safeguards no one. a bubble that expands and only shows outside when you're already way outside it a lot more friction actually - from bare knuckles on walls

The online safety act is going to fuck the analytics of so many companies. Widespread usage of VPNs means so much web traffic is going to be registered as coming from Iceland or Norway or somewhere instead of the UK
I still contend that Lying Down Mode and Adjust Height (along with its slider) should be in Quick Controls on Horizon OS. It makes very little sense in my mind to bury contextual AX options deep within Settings when they aren't things you'll necessarily want to have persistence.
The U.S. has a major Tesla and SpaceX problem. They seem to be the only companies that have really propelled manufacturing forward over the past 20 years. Story below because the US also has a links on X problem
This is still seemingly unresolved, which is a bit annoying considering it worked perfected at launch.
Not sure who at Meta needs to hear this, but Quest 3S' IR floods don't seem to work in Home/shell at all recently. They still function in apps, but they only work in Home shortly after boot/lockscreen. If you put down then pick up controllers, they stay off until next reboot.

It should be obvious to everyone by now that taxi/Uber driver will not exist as a job in the 2030s. (truckers will, though, as they do a lot more than just drive)

I'm surprised there's no experimental feature for system level microgestures on HzOS. At least in the Library, Navigator in particular feels uniquely suited for it.
