Rockhurst High School Cross Country. 2x Missouri State Champions (2016, 2018), 3x Runner-Up (2011, 2015, 2023). Rock State!
Noted as a first-class teammate and leader, Bill helped RHS win the 2024 XC State Title and the 2025 T&F State Title – the first for the T&F program in 49 years! Bill was a 2024 XC Team Captain, and won the Track & Field Team Leadership Award in both 2024 and 2025. Rock State!
Bill was the opening leg of the 4x800 Relay Team that also won the 2025 Penn Relays and finished 2nd at New Balance Nationals in 7:32.44, the 12th fastest time in U.S. high school history. (3/4)

Congrats to Bill Hayes '25 who has accepted an offer to continue his academic & athletic career at Notre Dame! Bill had already enrolled at ND, but following his amazing performances at the State Meet and New Balance Nationals, he was offered a spot on the Fighting Irish! (1/4)

What a crew! ROCK you raced with heart, hope, and each other here at NBNationals. You represented Rockhurst, KC and Missouri well! To witness your spirit every day, to lead up to this, has been truly a blessing.
The last race in our trip to NBNationals was the DMR of Jack McGovern, Andrew Davis, Bill Hayes, Henry Acorn. 7th place 10:06.08 breaking the school record by over 13 seconds. Great job…You ROCK!
Henry leaves RHS as most decorated runner in school history... 4x All-State XC, 2024 State Champ; 2x 1600m State Champ, 2x 4x800 Relay State Champ. Led team State Titles in XC (2024) and T&F (2025). PRs: 1:49.35 (800), 4:04.09 (1600), 9:01.93 (3200), 14:52.40 (5K). Rock State!

Congrats to Jack Morrison ’28 who closed out his incredible freshman year in 15th Place at #NBNationals Freshman 2 Mile! Jack came through in 9:43.21. J-Mo helped RHS win State Titles in XC (5K PR of 16:13.20) and T&F (1600m PR of 4:31.12 and 3200m PR of 9:21.04). Rock State!

Last evening Festival of Miles was such an impressive event at SLUH. Some incredible national and Missouri runners. So proud of two Hawklets for lacing it up in the full mile: Jack McGovern sub 4:18; Henry Acorn 4:05.55. Their growth and character is incredible! Thx @sluhxctrack
Congrats to Henry Acorn '25, our @CharlieHoopers @lewsgrillandbar & Fahey Construction AOTW! Henry repeated as State Champ in the 1600 (4:05.42); anchored the 4x800 Relay (7:40.91) - also 2x State Champs. And 4th Place in 3200 (9:09.10) helped RHS win the Team Title! Rock State!
