River water levels have receded and the Cape Fear Shiner Park is reopening this morning, July 8. The Hidden Field Trail and the softball fields at the park will remain closed at this time.

⚠️ CAPE FEAR SHINER PARK CLOSURE ⚠️ Due to the potential for elevated Cape Fear River water levels, we are closing the Cape Fear Shiner Park on Monday, July 7 and Tuesday, July 8. We hope to have the park open again for public use on Wednesday, July 9.

Mother Nature is not cooperating with us for this evening’s Movie in the Park- "Despicable Me 4" with sudden lightning and high winds 💨⚡️ We will look to bring a Movie in the Park to Dunn sometime in September! We apologize for the inconvenience.

With the threat of incoming storms in the forecast for this afternoon and evening, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule tonight's Movie in the Park at Tart Park in Dunn. We are working to get a new date scheduled and will make that announcement shortly!

The Open Gym program at the Boone Trail Community Center will be cancelled on Thursday, June 12 due to sidewalk repairs at the entrances. We apologize for any inconvenience.
