We used to worry about citation formatting. Now we’re being forced to ask whether the authors, the reviewers, and even the papers, are real. Meritocracy > FUD. We're building on @Solana for researchers tired of questioning their future.

Recently, 2006 Alzheimer’s paper once considered foundational has been retracted for image manipulation. The lead author has stepped down. The study shaped funding, careers, and entire research directions. The consequences will take years to unravel.

COPE (the Committee on Publication Ethics) held its July 2025 forum this week. Topics: plagiarism, fake peer review, and AI-generated authorship. If that sounds like the system is destabilizing, it's because it is. Trust isn’t automatic. It has to be re-earned.

The pressures of credibility, the uncertainty of AI's impact, the desire to be seen as a ground breaking researcher... And this is the only solution some researchers felt would help: theguardian.com/technology/202… 👇

Scientific publishing is under pressure. A recent @guardian editorial warns of AI-generated research, volume-driven incentives, and eroding peer review, all threatening the credibility of science. But we already knew this. Luckily we're already building to solve this.

I have heard @japarjam say @HarknessDA0 is for every research institute, both academic and non-academic researchers. Come to think of it, we have great academic researchers around the globe, serious ones I won't dare mention...the amount of work is impressive and awe striking.…

Just posted another research study on @HarknessDA0 After it’s approved through a DAO governance process not only can I earn for my efforts, but so can peer reviewers for doing that important work- and not from a centralized fund. And not for just one person.
