Learned the sad news about Jim Shooter just as I went live tonight. I gave my best at summarizing my thoughts on his legacy with no prep time, but he really did a lot of great things. Deadlines, story structure, original art to the artist, good royalties. I'll miss our chats.

Watched The Secret of NIMH again. I don't love the film, but I love the deep, moody backgrounds, compositions, colours. My work is flat and chintzy in comparison, but Bluth was 7 years older than I am now when he made that film. I'll try to make something as nice before then.
