I know things are hard out there for generative artists right now. We're adjusting to a new reality where instant mint-outs are more and more rare. Secondary action and rapid profits for collectors have dried up, so there's a flight to safer names. That's meant emerging artists…

“Everybody has an opinion about art and most of it is ignorance.” - Dan Flavin Looking at Web3, I wonder what Flavin would make of betting on art and what names will succeed (in the longrun) based largely on highly opinionated data.

Just your weekly reminder that generative art is alive and well. With a lineup like this, this show is going to be 🔥

My favorite art experience of this year was playing Zantar for 15min. Don’t miss this! 🔥🔥
I have just released my final artwork in The Zantar Triptych. Zantar is my best work and – for now – I can do no better. zantar.chan.gallery
Congrats to @soficrespo91 & @nguyenwahed on the great opening and the presentation of this new work exploring endangered animals you probably don’t even know the names of.
Extremely astute observation. It’s no longer just fake it till you make for artists, it’s fake it forever and ever. Being an artist can be a kind of performance, you take on a role that comes with a mask, and real vulnerability is only possible in private and trusted spaces.
Reflecting on Claire’s post and reaction, I think it shines a light on a bigger issue. 99.9% of artists are insecure, the hyper-financialization of this space creates imposter syndrome, especially if your comparing yourself to your past self. And yet, collectors overwhelmingly…
Yungwknd is one of the good ones. Excited about what they're quietly working on behind the scenes. Put some support their way if you can. Only three hours left to give.
I'd be gracious for your support - whether that's minting, sharing, or working together in the future! Thank you so much! funding.works/0xb30fcf092824…
Collectors chilled on it because too many bought when it was overhyped and prices were too high. They only rode the wave down. Also, a lot of that work turned out to look pretty mid the longer people spent time with it. That's a result a lack of experience viewing with the medium…

Stop listening to collectors that have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Generative-art is dead? Sounds like cope from going underwater by making hasty financial decisions. Many artists are actively evolving the medium, you just aren't paying attention.
Instead of focusing on platform features and hype from the project-of-the-week, digital art needs better storytelling. Why? 👇
I deeply share the frustration and the vision: the digital art space urgently needs consolidation, infrastructure, and above all, vision. But I’d like to add a point that is often overlooked, without taking anything away from the technical discussion: many of the problems we’re…
Super excited about this initiative. Artists, make sure you sign up!

Wild seeing Garden Monoliths #0 plotted and in person at Bitforms last night
There is no body of work I am more excited about this year than Materialistic. Anthony has not only the technical chops, but a theoretical grounding to back it up; it’s so refreshing after the last few years of technique focused generative outputs unmoored from meaning or history
I’m honoured to say that Materialistic opens at the Disruptive Gallery this week on Thursday the 22nd! This is my first full-scale gallery show, and a wonderful opportunity to represent the attention to detail I put into my physical work (and for some older works too). There…
Meeting both Eve Sussman and Kate Micucci at Spring/Break made for a fun, weird fair day
I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately: the value of difficulty in an AI streamlined world.
