Skin cancer is the most common form of cancer in Ireland with over 11,000 cases diagnosed annually.Exposure of skin to UV radiation from sunbeds damages skin cells and increases the risk of developing skin cancer. There is no safe limit of exposure to UV radiation from sunbeds.

Each year in Ireland there are approximately 1,000 alcohol related cancer cases. The WHO estimates that 40% of cancers are preventable through making behaviour changes. One of these is limiting alcohol intake as even small amounts can increase the risk of cancer.
