Two bald tires, two flat tires, insecure dangerous goods, no trailer brakes, exposed/contaminated wheel bearing, expired validation, overweight on Registered Gross Weight, and no annual inspections on either vehicle. Out of service and multiple charges laid ^MRT

Under TSSEA law, tow trucks are not permitted to ‘chase’ to collision scenes; and must be called upon by Police or involved drivers. One of the safety mechanisms in place to weed out the bad actors. Would you let this truck tow your car if it showed up at your crash? ^MRT

As @CVSA Inspectors/Officers & pursuant to the Highway Traffic Act we have authority to issue repair verification orders to companies to make/verify repairs. This coil spring was quickly replaced/repair verified. Kudos to this company for quick compliance! #RoadSafety ^MRT

Double duty this week conducting @CVSA Operation Safe Driver enforcement and coaching our newest @CVSA Inspector Trainee (an experienced @HRPS_Traffic Officer) Our sharp eyed trainee found this cracked coil spring on a driver side steer axle of a commercial use pickup #OOS ^MRT

During @CVSA Operation Safe Driver enforcement we found this tow truck with dark tinted windows and a flat tire. Illegal level of tint, with only 6% of available passing through. Charges laid to the company, #OOS ^MRT

Today while conducting @CVSA Operation Safe Driver enforcement we observed a tow truck with dark tinted windows. Upon the traffic stop we observed open cannabis in the drivers immediate possession. Driver also failed to complete a Trip Inspection/report. Multiple charges ^MRT

While conducting @CVSA Operation Safe Driver enforcement we spotted this dump spill its load onto Dundas St. Further inspection revealed loose/broken suspension mounting bolts, worn out brake air lines & a brake out of adjustment. #OOS &multiple charges to driver/company ^MRT

We inspected two food vendor trucks in Oakville today. Truck 1: loose steering components, exposed/contaminated wheel bearing, NO CVOR, expired permit, no pre trip = Plates removed, multiple charges, ordered towed. Truck 2: parking/Emergency brake inop = OOS #RoadSafety ^MRT
