Commissioned in April 1980, the @RNReserve Air Branch has proudly supported the @RoyalNavy for decades. Later, @HMS_Pegasus commissioned in 2022. From deployments abroad to duties at home, our personnel continue to serve King & country with pride and professionalism 🇬🇧⚓️🫡

Meet @RNReserve Commander Louis Wilson-Chalon, CO of HMS Pegasus since November 2023. Born in Yeovil, Louis is a former Regular @RoyalNavy pilot, recently retired from Leonardo, he now trains oil rig crews in Dubai. He is enjoys golf and swims, between trips away in his campervan

@HMS_Pegasus @RNReserve personnel, based at @RNASCuldrose took part in an event held at the air station over the weekend, commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Victory in Europe. The event included performances by HMS Seahawk Volunteer Band and a 1940s style female trio 🇬🇧🫡

On this day, Monday 14th June 1982 the conflict in The Falklands ended after 74 days of intense fighting, where 649 Argentine personnel, 255 British personnel, and 3 Falkland Islanders lost their lives 🇬🇧🇫🇰🇦🇷 #lestweforget @RoyalNavy @RoyalMarines @BritishArmy @RoyalAirForce

D-Day – 6th June 1944 On this day, Allied forces launched the pivotal assault on Normandy, changing the course of the Second World War. Over 10,000 casualties were suffered, with 4,414 confirmed dead. Sadly two Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve pilots lost their lives #lestweforget
